Antoine (in this role Jean-Pierre Léaud, one of the greatest actors in the history of European cinema) cannot find comprehension in the surrounding world. His monotonous life is filled with conflicts in which he is dominated by snippy adults. “The 400 Blows” is a tale about a rebellion that brings to mind the French cinema tradition and the works of Jean Vigo.
