The line between freedom and fanaticism can be dangerously thin.

A young woman meets the enigmatic frontman of a metal band and enters the world of the underground music scene. Their new relationship marks the beginning of an intense journey in search of identity, freedom and belonging. Over time, however, her fascination with the unknown begins to reveal its darker side, and the boundary between liberation and fanaticism grows increasingly blurred. An intense, unsettling story about the power of music, the need to rebel and the dangers that may lurk behind the promise of absolute freedom.

In the media:

«”Wolves” is a powerful drama about a gradual downfall that seems inevitable from the very beginning. The film follows a young woman who falls in love with a mysterious musician connected to the underground metal scene. Blinded by love and her own naivety, she ignores one warning sign after another, while the boundary between freedom, fascination and fanaticism begins to blur dangerously.»

«Sometimes, the most frightening things can hide beneath a beautiful surface, and it takes a painful confrontation to see their true face. Few words could be more fitting for “Wolves”, the feature debut of Zurich-born Jonas Ulrich, who also wrote, directed and edited the film.»
