A rave hit straight from Cannes!

A father and son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco. They are searching for Mar – their daughter and sister – who disappeared several months earlier at one of the endless, sleepless parties. Surrounded by electronic music and an unfamiliar sense of freedom, they hand out her photograph wherever they go. Hope begins to fade, but the men press on through crowds of ravers heading towards one final desert party. Venturing deeper into an unknown wilderness, they are forced to confront their own fears and limitations.

In the media

«A film about how the search for the perfect rave and the perfect community is a little like waiting for Godot. A film that contains all films, from “2001: A Space Odyssey” through “Gerry” and “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” to “The Wages of Fear”.»
— Jakub Popielecki, Filmweb capsule review

«A film with everything it takes to become a cult object for cinephiles and filmmakers. Artistic value is combined with entertainment appeal and philosophical debate, while Galicia confirms its role as the new Bethlehem of uncompromising neo-modernists.»
— Marcin Prymas, Pełna Sala, read the full review here

«Here, Laxe emerges as Lynch’s spiritual heir – in “Sirât”, instead of a linear narrative, you get a trance-like journey that you experience with all your senses.»
— Marcin Radomski, Filmweb capsule review
