[IN-PERSON SCREENING]
The warm light of the setting sun over Kabul, the absurdity of everyday life, and an unexpected romance. Shahrbanoo Sadat creates a sensual tragicomedy about seeking small spaces of freedom.
Kabul, just before the Taliban return to power. Having left her unfaithful husband, Naru looks at the world with the bitter conviction that there is no room for love. When she finds herself in the middle of the frenetic world of journalism alongside a charming news presenter, she gradually opens herself up to a new kind of relationship. Intimate, tender, and pulsing with bittersweet energy, this is a film in which laughter becomes the strongest form of resistance.
