First love is serious business. Especially when you have to find it on demand.
Minna and Flic are inseparable best friends, dreaming together about a future far beyond the walls of their boarding school. Before they set out into the world, however, they decide to make up for one of the most important experiences of growing up – falling in love. Their accelerated course in coming of age soon proves more complicated than they could have imagined. Funny, awkward and full of tenderness, this is a story about first feelings, rebellion and dreams of adulthood – but above all, an honest portrait of a friendship put to an unexpected test.
In the media:
«Minna and Flic, played by brilliant newcomers Galaxie Clear and Marni Duggan, start tenth grade somewhere around the beginning of the 21st century, in a world of carefree innocence and intense emotions. They move in perfect harmony, share a bed and mannerisms, have common goals – they dream of studying at Oxford or Cambridge – and similar dislikes, especially of boys and those who are interested in them.»

«”Extra Geography” is at its most exciting when it reveals the streak of malice and cruelty lurking beneath this world’s carefully polished surface. Minna and Flic have been prickly from the start, but over time their relationship takes on a genuinely painful dimension. Cruelty permeates their interactions in a way that ultimately proves heartbreaking.»

«Uncompromisingly feisty and smart, “Extra Geography”, led by terrific newcomers Marni Duggan and Galaxie Clear, looks at the anxieties and awkwardness of girlhood and adolescence with plenty of humour and tenderness.»
