[IN-PERSON SCREENING]
The glow of the analog 1980s and a deeply moving portrait of coming of age. The creators of the cult hit The Intouchables return with their most personal film yet, full of tenderness and warmth.
Paris, the 1980s. Thirteen-year-old Vincent tries to navigate the tensions between his feuding parents and the stirrings of first love. The boy soon discovers that adults do not actually have answers to the most important questions – they are simply better at pretending. Toledano and Nakache immerse us in the turbulent world of youth, where humor mingles with emotion, and a story about finding one’s place within a family becomes a universal meditation on the primacy of truth over illusion.
