Maria Wider
A director and screenwriter. She studied psychology at Jagiellonian University and directing at the Gdynia Film School, as well as completing the SCRIPT course at the Wajda School and the Screenwriting Atelier. She is the director of the short films We mnie (Inside Me, 2019), Gęś (The Goose, 2021) and Starsza pani szuka (An Old Lady Seeks, 2023), which have been screened and awarded at dozens of festivals in Poland and abroad. In 2025, she directed the television play Negocjacje (Negotiations) as part of the TEATROTEKA programme at the Documentary and Feature Film Studio. In September 2026, her feature debut Fluidy (Fluids) will premiere in the Main Competition of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.
