Brunon Hawryluk

A film and television screenwriter, script consultant, educator and activist. A “skater old-timer”, he is a fan of skateboarding, fantasy, old-school rock, rap and good tech house. A member of the Polish Screenwriters Guild and the Polish Filmmakers Association (SFP), he is the creator of the Natural Born Writers podcast and coordinator of the Screenwriting programme at the Warsaw Film School. He has written more than 100 episodes of broadcast television series, including Wojenne dziewczyny, Detektywi, Dzielnica strachu, Gliniarze and Barwy szczęścia. He co-created the fan film Pół wieku poezji później (Half a Century of Poetry Later, 2019), which has been watched by more than two million viewers. His screenwriting awards include Script Mentoring 2021 for the screenplay Frycek, and he was a finalist at Script Wars 2022 with the action black comedy Armando (co-written with Mikołaj Cieślak). He was also a finalist at Script Pro, a semi-finalist in the Wyobraź sobie competition, and won the third prize at Script Wars 2025 and the Constantin Entertainment Polska Award for the screenplay Jackpot (co-written with Adam Uryniak), which is currently in pre-production. His new drama series, Słoneczna. Poza ciszą, is scheduled to premiere on TVP VOD in autumn 2026.
